Instructor

The Old Town Art Center welcomes submissions by professional, teaching artists and arts educators with a minimum of two years teaching experience. Classes for adults and/or older children (12-17) will be considered. We would like to offer art classes to youth for the spring session, recommended classes include but are not limited to, cartooning, anime, fundamentals in oil or watercolor.

OTAC offers contract employment to part-time instructors. Classes offered are 10-week/three-hour sessions and workshops (five weeks/one-day/other).

OTAC classes typically require a minimum of five students and a maximum of 14. If your class/workshop is outside of that parameter, please provide that information as well.  OTAC provides tables, benches, easels and backboards. Students purchase their own supplies. Instructors are paid 75% of total tuition. Ten-week sessions are charged at $255; five weeks at $140.

OTAC offers two scholarships of 50% off tuition each session. Instructors, like students and staff, are expected to adhere to all Old Town Triangle Association policies, including a code of conduct.

Please send your proposal to: info@oldtowntriangle.org
We will acknowledge receipt and contact you with any questions.

The OTAC is provided by the Old Town Triangle Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, established in 1948. The Old Town Triangle was long-known as a home to artists. Neighbors began the Old Town Holiday (outdoor arts and crafts) Fair which has since evolved into the Old Town Art Fair, often rated one of the best fine art fairs in the country and one of the few that remains entirely volunteer-run. The Art Center is also home to the Leslie Wolfe Gallery, showing a variety of artists throughout the year.
