Kids Fringe Internship


The Kids Fringe Intern will assist in the planning, marketing and running of the Kids Fringe. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: organizing activities, planning and leading a workshop, coordinating with Kids Fringe artists, training teen volunteers and attending summer festivals and school registrations to promote Kids Fringe. The Kids Fringe Intern reports to the Kids Fringe Coordinator. They will also work closely with the Education Coordinator and Fringe Central Manager.

Time Commitment:

This position runs from July 2018 – September 2018. For a breakdown of hours please see below.

  • ●  July – August: approximately 5-8 flexible hours a week. Must be available some weekends.

  • ●  August – Sept. 3: Must commit to approximately 16 flexible hours during load in and tech for Kids Fringe Central setup and Kids Fringe tech and must be available from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday of the festival. The festival is August 30th-September 3rd. 

  • ●  September 3 – 10: 5 flexible hours of wrap up post-festival.

    Position Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • ●  Currently receiving or recently received a college degree

  • ●  A desire to work with a non-profit organization

  • ●  Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail and

    ability to collaborate

  • ●  Passionate about working with youth and kids

  • ●  Comfortable working and communicating with parents

  • ●  A background or interest in arts education and teaching artistry

  • ●  Ability to self-start and take on projects

  • ●  Ability to work well under stress

  • ●  Ability to stand for long periods of time and have high amounts of energy
