Part-time Gallery Director to start ASAP

Part-time Gallery Director to start ASAP. We are looking for someone who is hyper-organized with good communication skills and a terrific presentation of self as s/he will have a lot of client interaction and be the face of the gallery. 15 hours a week. Hours will increase if it is a good fit.

Responsibilities include:

- Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
- Plan exhibitions
- Meet with artists
- Appraisal of private and public collections

- Organize and schedule appointments
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters and forms
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Maintain contact lists
- Book travel arrangements
- Submit and reconcile expense reports
- Provide general support to visitors

Skills & Qualifications: 


- A speciality in art history a major plus.
- Knowledge of Photoshop Illustrator a must. 
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant or office admin assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office or Google Sheets/Slides, etc.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
