Piano Faculty Member

Mentored by Chicago Symphony Orchestra musicians, renowned collegiate professors, and other world-class faculty, our students are exposed to unconstrained musical exploration in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Our programs are designed to maximize artistic exposure and classes are offered in all orchestral and band instruments, piano, and guitar. Lessons are held either at our school at 900 N Michigan Ave Level 6 in Chicago, at students' homes, or at satellite locations throughout the city and suburbs - providing the most flexibility and convenience. 

Our programs represent excellent college preparatory, just beginning, and adult studies experiences. In addition, NMS students enjoy the opportunity to perform throughout the Chicago region.



The New Music School is kooking for a private piano teacher, giving lessons for students of all ages specializing in beginning piano students (ages 5-10). Must establish a firm foundation of note-reading, ear training, musicality and performance.



Thursday and Wednesday afternoon/evenings. Sunday availability optional.

Available to start teaching immediately.




Compensation is negotiated competitively according to credentials and experience. 

Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Passion for teaching piano to young children, especially in the 5-6 age range.
  • Adaptable and creative personality, able to meet each individual child’s educational needs.
  • Ability to work in a busy music school. 
  • Must have strong skills in managing schedule and tracking lessons. 
  • Ability to work with others, including Piano Department Coordinator.
